General Tips:

  • Provide a quiet and welcoming atmosphere

  • Use expressive voices and make up sound effects for different characters and actions
  • Read slowly
  • Make sure to answer questions that your child might ask about the story


Tips for babies:
  • Make reading fun
  • It is never too early to start reading to your child
  • Read everything you see to them
  • Sing songs to them
  • Start a tradition of bed time stories
  • Make sure you children grow up seeing you read often
  • Always have books in the diaper bag


Tips for toddlers:
