Read It LOUD! Foundation

Read it Loud! Is a coalition of donors, partners and sponsors that believe it is critical to vigorously promote parents reading aloud to young children, recognizing that parents are still a child’s first and most influential teachers. The coalition and campaign is organized by Read it LOUD! Foundation, a 501 (c) (3), founded by Wally Amos.

The Library of Congress

The Library of Congress, the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution, is the world’s preeminent reservoir of knowledge, providing unparalleled resources to Congress and the American people. Founded in 1800, the Library seeks to further human understanding and wisdom by providing access to knowledge through its magnificent universal collections. The Library seeks to spark the public’s imagination and celebrate human achievement through its programs and exhibits. In doing so, the Library helps foster the informed and involved citizenry upon which American democracy depends. Today, the Library serves the public, scholars, members of Congress and their staff—all of whom seek information, understanding and inspiration. Center For The Book

The Center for the Book (www.loc.gov/cfbook) was established by Congress in 1977 “to use the resources and prestige of the Library of Congress to promote books, reading, literacy and libraries.” With its many educational programs that reach readers of all ages, through its support of the National Book Festival and through its dynamic state centers in the 50 states and the District of Columbia, the Center for the Book has developed a nationwide network of organizational partners dedicated to promoting the wonders and benefits of reading. The center’s Books and Beyond author series brings writers of all genres to the Library of Congress to discuss their work
